Introduction

Welcome to Conversations Over Coffee, our blog where we interview the people in our class who we find interesting, mysterious, or just very pleasant. This project started with an idle conversation at the Rising Star Coffee in Hingetown about the number of interesting and very cool people we tangentially know through school and how we wish we had the opportunity to get to know them better. An interview was floated as a nice excuse to talk to these people, but like a lot of ideas emerging from idle chatter it was indefinitely shelved.

But with the opening of the new Rising Star in Little Italy, and the beginning  of our research block, we have found ourselves with more time than things to do, and fewer excuses not to try to get to know the people we have always wondered about. And, with the beginning of our third year of medical school, we see our classmates even less than usual, which in some cases was not very much at all. So this project was born, where we sit down for a chat with the people who we have always wondered about.
